About

A Story of three generations

The office was established by Zeev Rechter in 1930, expanded by his son, Yacov, and is led today by his grandson, Amnon.

Rechter Architects specializes in public buildings and is Israel's oldest architecture firm.

Background

Clear & distinct

I took it upon myself to design an interactive website that is inspired by their clear and minimalist architectural style.

Despite the firm's professional reputation and excellent standing, their current website is only a landing page that contains a link to a PDF portfolio.

Research

Competitive analysis

I explored how they showcase their office, team members, projects etc.

I researched two competing architectural firms that also deal with public buildings.

It can be said That the more established a firm is, the less motivated it might be to invest in marketing its website, relying instead on its established reputation.

Offices that specialize in public buildings interact primarily through tender processes.

User persona

Target audience

In my research I explored potential users.

After consulting with several architects, it appears that the potential users are public and government bodies, or large private corporations.

User Journey

Project focused

Design

Classic & minimalist

The design goal was to reflect the buildings' clean and timeless style.
